so we knew we would really love having a backyard. little did we know that we were going to spend all of the time back there. we only have 1 shot of the "before" but lots of "after". pretty much none of our neighbors were using the backyard before us. so we were able to take over! we started with calla lilies & iris'. we then moved to onions, zucchini, rosemary & a window box full of herbs. we planted some serrano & jalepeno peppers today. and picked up some amazing heirloom tomato plants from a super cool farm in santa cruz. so in about a week we can plant the tomatoes & hopefully the potatoes will also be ready. we also bought an awesome picnic table & stained it. so we have been busy little bees with this new backyard. we have also become friends with the neighbors upstairs which is very cool.
"before" photo...you can't fully tell but the rocks were full of weeds & the avocado tree had taken over. also, there were leaves EVERYWHERE.
