It's Spring! Time to Garden!

A couple of weeks ago I started the garden for this Spring & Summer.  We are expanding our garden this year to include Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Sugar Snap Peas & Green Beans.  We will also do tomatoes...but we are waiting a bit to plant.  Photos to come!

April Visitors (Part 2).

The big event for Saturday when the girls came out was heading to Golden Gate Fields for the day.  The weather was perfect, we all got some much needed sunshine.  To our surprise it was also the day of Wiener Dog National Races.  So between every horse race there was a wiener dog race.  Such a fun day!

April Visitors (Part 1).

We were so excited for this trio to come visit.  Mel, Sophie & Kim Bui all came out to visit.  We had a great time.  We kicked the weekend off with a pizza party at our place.

Who would have thought...Nick is telling a joke.  Casey seems to think it is funny but Jamie is not really sure about it...

Golden Birthday!

Wow.  If 29 has anything to do with the first weekend/day of the year...boy I am excited.  My birthday this year was truly magical. 

My birthday celebration started the Saturday before at a fancy dinner at Quince in the city.  It was awesome!  Followed by a dear friends birthday/engagement party!

The day of my birthday started off with a wonderful birthday call from my parents.  Then I arrived to work & my cube/desk was totally decked out.  My team is so awesome!  It was followed by my first flower delivery from my awesome LA team and then a second flower delivery by my team in SF.  Then we went to a fun birthday lunch that I shared with my adorable friend Rimi.  The team also got some amazing cupcakes from Burlingame Ave...YUM!

The magical birthday day ended with an awesome birthday dinner at home.  I really was craving my mom's smoked sausage & velveeta mac n' cheese.  So Nick helped make dinner & Casey came over.  Nick surprised me by getting my first card for any occasion in the last 7 years...and got sweet little cakes for us to celebrate with. 

But some of my favorite birthday moments happened over Skype.  I first skyped with my parents, gram, papa & dude.  And I about died when they had a cookie with a candle.  They did the whole shebang with singing & me blowing out the candles!  A few moments later I hear the computer's Skype ring.  It was Scotty & Michelle and the boys!  It was so great to Skype with them.  The boys finally got it & were able to talk to me!  But then...they pulled out a cake with candles too!  They also sang Happy Birthday & had me blow out the candles. 

At the end of the day, I felt so very blessed & lucky to have such a wonderful circle of family & friends. Here's to the last year of my twenties!
