backyard shots.

the super cool bird house that my dad built. however no birds have come for snacks yet.

i realize the majority of my blog posts have been about the backyard. but we seriously love it so much. i can't get enough of it.

garden flowers.

the cala lillies are finally blooming & they are just amazing. i love them. next year we will plant even more!

for years i could never understand why my mom was so obsessed with flowers. first, i got the bug on always have fresh flowers in the house. and now i literally always have fresh flowers throughout the house. second, when we moved into the new house with a backyard i am now obsessed with flowers in the garden. we got made these flower baskets a couple of weeks ago & we love them.

we have zucchini coming up like crazy. when the guy at the garden market was like "oh you only need 1 zucchini plant for a couple" we thought...really? boy, was he right. the zucchini plant is producing like crazy. and it is so delicious! the big guy below is our biggest so far.

on the otherhand the onions aren't quite ready. but they are still really cool.

miss matina & mr. nyagous.

as most of you know, we love our garden. it is just so cool to grow your own food. it makes me appreciate all of the hard working farmers out there. a couple of months ago when we made the trek down to santa cruz to get these heirloom tomato plants i had no clue how huge they would grow. it is just too cool.

north beach festival.

it is festival season in san francisco so we headed to the north beach festival. and it was a whole lot of fun this year. it was so great to see melinda & taylor. and as always we love spending time with shan! sun, beer & great friends.

bebe at the ball park.

bebe had a fun night at the ball park this week. there was a full tailgate catered & it was so fun. i feel so lucky to have found such great friends at work & friends that i enjoy outside of work too.

grilled pizza & pasta party

mary, roshan, dean, shan & derek all came over for a grilling party! we tried out grilled pizza & made some pasta. it was so fun & such a beautiful day. and it was so great to see how big dean is getting. he is such a good boy & we love him so much.

zucchini blossoms! we have harvested about 6 so far. they are amazing! it is really cool on sunny mornings the blossoms bloom for a couple of hours.
