dean's first birthday.

Mary & Roshan's little guy turned 1 on Saturday.  I was so happy we could be there to celebrate.  I also, helped Mary prepare the brunch menu & the brunch.  It was so much fun!  Happy Birthday Dean!

pasta making!

One of my favorite gifts for Christmas was the pasta roller that Nick got me!  I have always wanted to make fresh pasta, so I am really excited.  We made raviolis for NYE.  We made 2 fillings an italian sausage & ricotta and spinach & ricotta.  And of course we use our own homemade sausage.

Christmas/Scott's Birthday Celebration/New Years Celebration

Since I was only in Scottsdale for a short amount of time, we had to pack in a lot of festivities in 1 night.  A small amount of Christmas, Scotty's Birthday celebration & our traditional Prime Rib New Year celebration...all on the 30th.  Here are a ton of photo of the randomness that it was.

UB, Dude & Me were mostly in charge of making the dinner.  I made my signature brussel sprouts & potato gratin.  UB did the sauce & asparagus.  And dude did the amazing prime rib...it was a 21 pounder.

all in the kitchen!

Annual Girls Lunch.

As I say every year, the annual girls lunch is one of my favorite days of the year.  We had the two new baby boys join us!  Pamela also came, it was so great to see the girls & all of the kids!

I was so excited to finally meet Lacie & Ryan's sweet little girl.  She is precious.  Hope to see them again when we are back in February!

Christmas in Arkansas.

We headed to Arkansas Christmas day for the celebrations.  We had a great time.

Nick found the pickle!

So I didn't get a puppy...sad face.  But I did get a pasta roller wrapped in the shape of a puppy.  Yes, my husband is very clever.  He is a keeper.

Nick searing the meat.

Green Egg Prime Rib.  Yum.

Nick & his dad carving the meat.  Please note, Nick has a bandaged finger...again.

ice skating at embarcadero.

Somehow I convinced Nick that it would be an excellent idea to go ice skating at the embarcadero rink across from the Ferry Building.  Disclaimer: I may have had a couple of glasses of bubbles before this venture.  And probably the only reason Nick said yes was because he knew I would pout the rest of the night if he said no.  Nick was an excellent ice skater.  I had confidence because I did well when I went a few weeks ago for work...well...let's just say I got a lot of bruises & overall a very sore body.

ccq birthday.

so happy we were able to celebrate ccq's birthday before we left for the christmas travels.  cheers!
